Empire Magazine interview with James Cameron Part 1

Image
You can buy a cheap monthly subscription through the Empire app for less than $5 a month, I highly encourage it to show support for the sequels and our monthly updates we are going to get all year. Here are two new photo's shown in the full article, some Avatar Fire and Ash bts shots, I love these both.    Here is some of the Q&A from the article- So, what shape is the film in?   It's in strong shape, I think. I feel really good about it, at least on a scene-by-scene basis. I haven't watched it myself from end to end in about a year, and the last time it made me want to vomit. But that's always a good reaction, the first time you screen a film for yourself. Because then you get really rigorous and disciplined about making it work. We've doubled the number of shots finished at this stage of the game than we had on movie two and the films are about equal length. So that puts us well ahead of the curve, which is something I've never, frankly, experienced befo...

Meet Avatar 3’s New ‘Ash Clan’: ‘They’ve Gone Through An Incredible Hardship’, Says James Cameron

Image
From Empire Magazine we got a sneak peak at an upcoming interview with James Cameron. Empire also announced each issue for the rest of the year will have whats called "The Path to Pandora." So we will be getting more Avatar articles with every Empire issue in 2025. We also got two new concept art photos, one showing off Varang and her clan the Mangkwan, and another showing the Windtraders Clan means of travel.  The article goes on to talk about meeting the Ash Clan (Mangkwan) and how things will be different this time than they were with the Metkayina. This isn't going to be a friendly relationship.  “ We’re trying to evolve beyond the ‘all humans are bad, all Na’vi are good’ paradigm .” “Varang is the leader of a people who have gone through an incredible hardship. She's hardened by that,” Cameron tells Empire of that central figure. “She will do anything for them, even things that we would consider to be evil,” he teases. “One thing we wanted to do in this fi...

Omaticon 2025

Image
Huge shout out to Mako from Kelutral, who invited me to host a panel at this years Omaticon celebration. If you aren't familiar with Omaticon, it is as the name implies, an online con for fans of Avatar. This year marked the 5th anniversary and featured guests such as, Josh Izzo, Bailey Bass, Todd McFarlane, and of course many more. I was invited to host a panel covering Avatar 3-Fire and Ash Theories, and was able to pick who joined me for the panel. I was joined by Payra , Avatar Latino , Sister of Tulkun , and Avatar Guy . I thought everyone did a great job, we flowed together, hit our hour time limit just as things were getting better and better, and most importantly we all had fun. So special thanks to all of them for making it an Avatar moment to remember.    If you'd like to watch any panels from this years Omaticon, you can do so at their Twitch channel- Kelutralro Twitch  If youre interested in learning more about Kelutral, or Omaticon, or joining their co...

Congrats to Zoe Saldaña for her Golden Globe award

Image
Congratulations to Avatars own, Zoe Saldaña for bringing home a Golden Globe Award at the 82nd event, for best supporting actress in a film. While Zoe didn't win this award because of anything to do with Avatar, I think it's important to show support to the Avatar family, especially since they seem to be unappreciated come award time for Avatar movies. Some day soon I hope everyone understands just how much goes into motion capture.  Huge congrats from the Avatar Sea of Blue family to yourself Zoe, oel ngati kameie ma tsmuke.   For a full article detailing Zoe's big night- ABC News Zoe Saldaña Golden Globe Winner
